Ukraine Activist Mira Dytko

On Tuesday, October 7, Mira Dytko spoke about current events in Ukraine.

Born and raised in the Lviv region of Ukraine, Villager Mira Dytko attended Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia, then returned to Lviv in a PhD program at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. She later moved to Canada, then to the Bay Area, where she worked at several hardware and software companies.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Mira has been helping affected families here and in her besieged homeland. She and her daughter Katherine had just returned from a trip to Lviv in western Ukraine near the Polish border, which has become a safe haven for many Ukrainians fleeing other parts of the country affected by the Russian invasion. Mira and Katherine gave us a firsthand report about the current situation.
