Msgr. Gene O’Donnell on St. Patrick

Msgr. Gene O’Donnell gave a St. Patrick presentation at the Villages Men’s Fun Social Club luncheon.

Msgr. O’Donnell has been a priest of the Diocese of San Jose for the past fifty-three years, including serving as pastor for nine years at St. Francis of Assisi, which includes the Villages. He grew up and was educated in Ireland at All Hallows College and University College, Dublin.

He received an M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

He continues to serve the Diocese, the Catholic Community in the Villages, celebrates the Spanish Mass at St. Francis, leads a Bible Group and writes an occasional piece in the Villager. He lives in the Villages Cribari District.

Here in the Villages, Msgr. O’Donnell is a novice pickleball player, and member of the Ironmen Golf Group and the Men’s Fun Social Club.
